Finding Serenity Within a Chaotic World

Jesus Christ: Peace, Purpose and Salvation

The importance of Jesus within God’s eternal plan cannot be overstated.

  • He existed with God before the earth was created. (Proverbs, Chapter 8 Verses 22 - 31)

  • He freely gave his life on the cross for the forgiveness of sin; thus fulfilling God’s plan for salvation and offering Eternal Life for all those who come to Jesus in baptism.

  • He will lead the heavenly army of angels against the armies of Satan at Armageddon and defeat them; throwing the Beast (the Antichrist) and the false profit into the lake of fire. (Revelation, Chapter 19, Verses 11 - 21)

By offering his life on the cross for all the world’s sins, Jesus was exalted to sit at the right hand of God.

Jesus offers you:

A. PEACE:

Matthew, Chapter 11, Verses 28 - 30: Jesus said,

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and My load is light.”

John, Chapter 16, Verse 33: Jesus said,

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you have tribulation but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Philippians, Chapter 4, Verse 7: Paul, a disciple of Jesus said,

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

B. PURPOSE:

(Jesus Proclaims The Great Commission For All Disciples )

Matthew, Chapter 28, Verses 18 - 20:

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of  the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

C. SALVATION:

(Jesus Proclaims His Divine Authority to the disciple Thomas)

John, Chapter 14, Verse 6:

Jesus said to him,

“I Am The Way, and The Truth, and The Life; No One Comes To The Father, But Through Me.”

This is probably one of the most significant statements in the Bible.  In one sentence, Jesus proclaims to us:  (select the buttons for details)
